Town of Boonton, NJ Chapter 107 Clothing Depositories

§ 107-1 Clothing depositories prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, club or charitable organization, institution or association to place and/or maintain any dumpster or other depository to collect clothing for the needy or for any other group of people on any public or private property, including any public sidewalk, street or alley or any private parking lot or walkway or at any other location in the Town.

§ 107-2 Enforcement.

This chapter shall be enforced by the Code Enforcement Office. Any clothing depositories shall be subject to summons by the Code Enforcement Officer or any other duly authorized representative of the Town and said depository shall be removed at the owner's expense.

§ 107-3 Violations and penalties.

Any person, firm, corporation charitable organization, institution or association violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be liable to the penalties stated in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty. Each day that a clothing depository remains at a location in the Town shall be considered a separate offense.
