Town of Boonton, NJ Article III Diving and Jumping Off Bridges

[Adopted 12-17-1990 as Sec. 4-7 of the 1990 Code]

§ 205-7 Diving and jumping prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to dive off of, jump off of, or to push himself or another or others off of the Washington Street Bridge (County Bridge No. 84) or the West Main Street Bridge located in the Town of Boonton.

§ 205-8 Warning signs.

Appropriate warning signs shall be painted or installed in or on both bridges by the Street Department or Police Department indicating the prohibitions contained in § 205-7.

§ 205-9 Violations and penalties.

Any person or persons who shall violate § 205-7 herein shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
