No person shall conduct or maintain within the town any theater, public showhouse or moving picture house without first having obtained a license for that purpose as hereinafter provided.
Application for such license must be made to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen in writing. The license fee shall be $100, payable at the time when the license shall be issued. The license period shall run for one year from the date of issuance.
All license fees payable under this chapter shall be paid to the Treasurer for the purposes of the town.
All persons violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
