The storage or stockpiling within the corporate limits of the Village of Albion, Orleans County, New York, of sand and/or salt intended to be used for road ice control purposes is hereby prohibited after January 1, 1975, unless such storage or stockpiling is in a facility approved by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and by the Superintendent of Streets of the Village of Albion; provided, however, that all existing facilities, whether or not so approved, may continue to be used until December 31, 1975. In no event shall any unapproved storage or stockpiling facility be allowed subsequent to January 1, 1976.
This Article shall not be applicable to storage or stockpiling of less than one cubic yard of sand or salt intended for road ice control.

Any person, firm, corporation or municipality violating any of the provisions of this Article shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed $250 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day any such violation is found to continue shall constitute a separate violation to be separately punished.
