All parks, playgrounds and recreational areas
owned and maintained by the Village, with the exception next hereinafter
set forth, shall be open to the public every day of the year from
dawn to dusk, and all such parks, playgrounds and recreational areas
shall otherwise be closed. No person or persons shall enter upon or
remain in the park or any buildings or grounds thereof between dusk
and dawn except pursuant to authorization of the Village Board. The
opening and closing hours of the park shall be posted at each entrance
of the park so that such opening and closing will be noticeable by
the public.
This article shall not be applicable to the
Mesier Park.
It shall be a violation of this article for
any person to be or remain within any of the parks, playgrounds or
recreational areas affected hereby within the hours above designated.

Any person violating any provision of this article
may be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment
for a period not exceeding 15 days, or both.

With the exceptions below noted, Mesier Park
shall be closed to the public between the hours of 10:00 p.m. each
evening and 7:00 a.m. the following morning.
A.
This article shall not apply to:
(1)
Persons entering said park to transact business or
any other lawful activity with the Police Department or such other
Village offices as may then be open for that purpose.
(2)
Persons entering to attend or appear at a public hearing
or meeting conducted therein by any village board or agency.
(3)
Persons entering to attend or appear at any public
entertainment or other function duly scheduled by the appropriate
Village officials.
(4)
Village officers or employees in discharge of the
duties of their office.
B.
Any persons entering said park for any of the above
permitted purposes shall leave the same within a reasonable time after
their business is completed or the function or activity they were
attending has been concluded.
