It is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls to repeal Local Law No. 2 for the year 1992 and to replace it with this legislation. The purpose of this chapter is to establish certain rules and regulations regarding the use of the Village of Wappingers Falls Lake.
No boat operated on Wappingers Lake shall be powered by a gasoline motor which exceeds seven and five-tenths (7.5) HP (horsepower).
Every occupant of a boat operated on Wappingers Lake must be in possession of a personal flotation device (life preserver).
The consumption of alcoholic beverages by any occupant of a boat operating in Wappingers Lake shall be prohibited.
The operation of iceboats, snowmobiles, wind surfing equipment or jet skis on Wappingers Lake shall be prohibited.
There shall be no hunting, shooting, camping or bow hunting either into or on the lake or the surrounding lakeshores.
It shall be prohibited to place or otherwise deposit any trash, garbage, refuse or waste into the lake or upon its surrounding shores, other than in an approved receptacle found thereon.
A. 
Any person found guilty of violating § 146-2, 146-3, 146-4, 146-5 or 146-6 shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $250.
B. 
Any person found guilty of violating § 146-7 shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000.

Local Law No. 2 for the year 1992 is hereby repealed in its entirety.[1]
