GENERAL REFERENCES

Adult day-care facility rules — See Ch. 43.
Each Town board, commission, department or office empowered to make rules and regulations, unless empowered by statute or the Charter of the Town to make rules and regulations, shall file in the office of the Town Clerk an original or duplicate original of each rule or regulation made by said board, commission, department or office which directly affects public interest.
All rules or regulations filed as provided in § 34-1 shall be submitted by the Town Clerk to the Council at its next scheduled meeting for consideration. Any such rule or regulation disapproved by the Council shall be void. Unless the Council disapproves such rule or regulation at its next following duly scheduled meeting, the Town Clerk shall publish each rule or regulation, at least by title sufficient to indicate the general intent of the rule or regulation, in a newspaper having a general circulation in the Town. Such rule or regulation shall take effect on the third day following said publication.
Any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to the provisions of §§ 34-1 and 34-2 may be reconsidered by the Council on its own motion at any time. A rule or regulation disapproved by the Council upon reconsideration shall be void upon publication as provided in § 34-2.
All rules or regulations in force which directly affect public interest, including those not adopted pursuant to §§ 34-1 through 34-3, shall be recorded by the Town Clerk in an appropriately indexed book kept for that purpose.
The provisions of §§ 34-1 through 34-4 shall not apply to rules or regulations pertaining to the internal administration of any Town board, commission, department or office.
