Editor's Note: Former Art. II, Going-Out-of-Business Sales, of Ch. 14, Offenses, Miscellaneous Provisions, of the 1972 Code, was repealed 1-27-1981.
Any going-out-of business sale shall be conducted according to the provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes.[1]

Editor's Note: C.G.S. § 21-35a et seq. refers to these sales as "closing-out sales."
A. 
Any person conducting a going-out-of-business sale shall first make application to the Chief of Police for a going-out-of-business sale license.
B. 
The fee for the license shall be a sum equal to the taxes assessable to the business under the last preceding tax levy. If no such taxes are assessable, then the fee shall be $100.
