A.
Authority of Mayor. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-98.2,
the Mayor is authorized to reduce the regular speed limit on roads
or parts of roads within the Township for the purpose of maintenance
or repairs for a period not to exceed 72 hours.
B.
Posting of signs. One or more signs indicating the
reduced speed limit shall be placed along the affected road.
C.
Notification to Commissioner of Transportation. The
New Jersey Commissioner of Transportation shall be notified at least
seven days before any reduced speed limit takes effect, except in
cases of emergency.
