  The City of Albany shall contain, on and after the effective date of this local law, in addition to the territory theretofore contained within its boundaries, the following-described territory now within the Town of Colonie, to wit: all that tract of land beginning at a point in the division line between the Town of Colonie on the north and the City of Albany on the south distant 392.42 feet on a bearing of south 38º 14' west as measured along said division line from its intersection with the west line of Shaker Road, said point also being on the north line of a proposed street; thence along said street line south 69º 33' west a distance of 361.08 feet to a point in the west line of the lands conveyed by John Graziano and Harold Greenstein to John Graziano, Harold Greenstein and George E. White, Jr., by deed dated June 16, 1972, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of Albany County on the same date in Book 2046 of Deeds at page 672; thence along said west line south 21º 31' east a distance of 217.26 feet to a point on said division line between the Town of Colonie and the City of Albany; thence along said division line north 38º 14' east a distance of 417.92 feet to the point and place of beginning, containing 0.9003 of an acre of land and being a portion of the lands of John Graziano, et al., mentioned above.
The territory described in § A377-1 of this local law is hereby annexed to the City of Albany pursuant to the provisions of § 714 of the General Municipal Law.
The territory described in § A377-1 of this local law shall be included in the Fourth Ward of the City of Albany and shall be designated as the Sixth Election District of said Fourth Ward, said Sixth Election District being described as follows and intended to encompass the territory described above in § A377-1 hereof:
  Beginning at a point on Shaker Road where the City line is coterminous with the easterly boundary of the Town of Colonie; thence easterly and southerly along the City line as amended by Local Law No. 1-1976 and western City line extended where it is approximately conterminous at the center of Ontario Street extended to the center line of Patroon Creek; thence easterly along the center line of Patroon Creek to the Mid Crosstown Arterial Highway; thence northerly and westerly along said Arterial Highway to the center line of Northern Boulevard; thence northerly along the center line and center line extended of Northern Boulevard to the center line of Van Rensselaer Boulevard; thence northerly along the center line of Van Rensselaer Boulevard to the northern City line; thence westerly along the northern City line to the point on Shaker Road where the City line is coterminous with the easterly boundary of the Town of Colonie, the point and place of beginning.
This local law shall take effect forty-five (45) days after its approval by the Mayor following public hearing and filing with the office of the Secretary of State.
