[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor 12-3-1964 by L.L. No. 1-1964. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No local law shall be adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Briarcliff Manor until a public hearing has been held thereon in its final form before such Board of Trustees not less than three nor more than 20 days after public notice has been given of the time and place of the holding of such public hearing. Such public notice shall be given by the Clerk by causing the same to be published once in the official newspaper of the Village of Briarcliff Manor. Such notice shall contain the title of the proposed local law and a brief explanatory statement thereof.
Such hearing shall be held within the Village of Briarcliff Manor at a reasonable time and place, and at such hearing the Board of Trustees shall offer an opportunity to all interested persons to be heard concerning such proposed local law.
Proof of publication of such notice of hearing shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
