It shall be the duty of the Inspector of Buildings
or other village officers or employees as may be designated by the
Board of Trustees to administer and enforce this chapter. No building
permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued by said Inspector
of Buildings, except where the provisions of this chapter, the Building
Code[1] or any pertinent county, state or federal requirements
have been complied with.
A.
The Planning Board, in conjunction with the Inspector
of Buildings, shall draft, for the approval of the Board of Trustees,
such administrative procedures which they deem adequate to ensure
compliance with this chapter and other applicable laws. This shall

deny applications for new construction, alterations, demolition, moving
and/or structural repairs in conformance with this chapter.
B.
The said Board of Trustees shall also approve and
delineate administrative procedures covering expiration, revocation
and posting of permits, stoppage of work and requirements for issuance
of a certificate of occupancy and approval of a change of occupancy
in conformance with the last issued certificate of occupancy.
The Board of Trustees shall fix, from time to
time, the fees associated with applications for building permits and
amendments or variances to this chapter. These fees shall be reflective
of, and cover the cost of, public notices, public hearings, transcription
of minutes, administrative personnel and other costs for administration.
