[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Thomaston 7-14-1980 by L.L. No. 19-1980 as Ch. 56, Art. I, of the 1980 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
[Amended 9-28-1993 by L.L. No. 21-1993]
Except under circumstances where authorized by state law, no person shall fire or discharge any gun, pistol, rifle, fowling-piece or other firearms within the village limits.
No person shall sell or dispose of to a minor any toy pistol or pistol that can be loaded with powder and ball or blank-cartridge to be exploded by means of metal caps, but nothing herein contained shall apply to the sale or disposal of what are known as "firecracker pistols," "torpedo pistols" or such pistols as are used for the explosion of paper caps.[1]

Editor's Note: Former § 56-3, Firing cannons, which immediately followed this section, was repealed 9-28-1993 by L.L. No. 21-1993.
Any person, firm or corporation committing an offense against any provision of this Article shall be punishable as provided in the general penalty provisions contained in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, of this Code.
