The Town Board of the Town of Fulton has the specific authority, powers and duties, pursuant to §§ 60.36, 60.37 and 755.01, Wis. Stats., to provide for the election of a Municipal Judge and to provide for the operation and maintenance of the Court, including employees for the Court.
The Town Board of the Town of Fulton has, by the adoption of this chapter, confirmed the statutory authority, powers and duties noted above in Chs. 60 and 755, Wis. Stats., and has established, pursuant to these chapters and this chapter, the powers and duties of the Town Board of the Town of Fulton to provide for the operation and maintenance of a Municipal Court system and to provide for the election of a Municipal Judge.
This chapter shall be implemented by the adoption of an amendment hereto. Until so amended, there will be no Town Municipal Court established. Enforcement of Town ordinances shall be through the Circuit Court of Rock County and/or through an intergovernmental agreement, pursuant to § 66.0301, Wis. Stats., establishing a Joint Municipal Court.
