The Police Commission is hereby created. The
Police Commission shall consist of five citizens who are residents
of the Village, appointed by the Village President, and serving such
terms of office as required by Wisconsin Statutes.
The Police Commission shall
A.
Have the authority to appoint and remove the Police
Chief in accordance with the applicable provisions of Wisconsin Statutes.
B.
Administer examinations and prepare eligible lists
for the appointment and promotion of uniformed personnel of the Police
Department, in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes.
C.
Serve as an appeals board in cases of dismissals and
suspensions of Police Department uniformed personnel.
D.
Have such other authority and duties as prescribed
by Wisconsin Statutes.
