A. 
The owner of every premises supplied with water must furnish, at his own expense, a suitable cast-iron stopcock box of a pattern approved by the Utility Foreman placed on each service pipe between the sidewalk and the curb, and if the supply is for more than one building then a like box shall be provided for each separate stopcock required for each building.
B. 
The top of each box must be constantly provided with a cover to prevent dirt or other refuse from getting into the box, such cover to be level with the top of the sidewalk or ground for the exclusive use and control of the Water Utility.
C. 
In case of refusal of the owner to provide the box, the Utility Foreman shall cause the same to be done and charge the expenses against the premises.
D. 
The Utility shall not be liable for failure to locate a stop box and shut off the water in case of a leak on the owner's premises.
The customer shall protect the stop box (between the sidewalk and the curb) and shall keep the same free from dirt and other obstructions.
