It shall be unlawful for any minor under the
age of 18 years to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon
the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or
other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of
amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places
between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. of the following day.
During that time when daylight saving time is in effect, the evening
hours provided in this section shall be extended one hour.
The provisions of this article shall not apply
to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person
having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is doing
an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her
parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody
of the minor. The hours for minors under the age of 16 years shall
be from 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. of the following day. During that time
when daylight saving time is in effect, the evening hours provided
in this section shall be extended one hour.
It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian
or other adult person having the care and custody of a child under
the age of 18 years to knowingly permit the child to loiter, idle,
wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads,
alleys, parks, grounds, public places and public buildings, places
of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised
places between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. of the following
day or, if the child is under the age of 16 years, the hours shall
be from 9:30 to 5:00 a.m. of the following day. During that time when
daylight saving time is in effect, the evening hours provided in this
section shall be extended one hour.
