The period between November 15 and April 15 of the following calendar year shall be known as and designated as the "snow removal period."
During said snow removal period, there shall be no parking or standing of motor vehicles of any kind or nature upon any public highway in the Town of Union Vale, Dutchess County, New York.

A. 
During said snow removal period, any motor vehicle parked or standing on a county or Town highway or Town right-of-way used for highway purposes may be towed away by or at the direction of the Town Superintendent of Highways and impounded until reasonable towing and storage costs are paid by the owner or operator of any such vehicle.
B. 
Any motor vehicle impounded by the Town of Union Vale that has not been redeemed by its owner within five business days shall be deemed abandoned, and final disposition of legal title to the motor vehicle shall be made in accordance with the procedures set forth in Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1224.

A violation of this article shall be deemed a traffic infraction and shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of $100.
