For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed:
LANDGRAF PARK
A municipal park located off Waterford Road in Island Park, New York.
PATH PARK
A municipal park located off Radcliffe Road and Warwick Road in Island Park, New York.
Rules and regulations for Landgraf Park and Path Park may be made from time to time by the Board of Trustees. All persons must comply with the rules and regulations after the same have been promulgated and approved by the Board of Trustees and posted at the applicable park's premises.
A. 
Designated. Landgraf Park and Path Park shall be open from dawn until dusk every day, unless written directives are granted for any other times by the Mayor or Board of Trustees.
B. 
Prohibited hours. No person shall under any circumstances remain at Landgraf Park or Path Park between the hours starting at dusk and ending at dawn.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the following uses and/or activities shall be and are hereby prohibited in both Landgraf Park and Path Park:
A. 
Injury to property. No person in the aforesaid parks or park areas shall injure, deface, displace, remove, destroy or tamper with any gates, fences, seats, shelters or structures of any nature whatsoever or any equipment or building or part thereof, or any sign, notice, or inscription, or any growing thing, owned, operated or under the control of the Village.
B. 
Rubbish and debris. No person shall carry through, leave or throw, drop or discharge any rubbish or debris of any nature in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas.
C. 
Spitting. No person in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas or any building or structures therein owned or operated by or under the control of the Village shall expectorate upon any portion thereof or in or on any structure, walk, stairway or floor.
D. 
Advertising. No person shall distribute or display any flag, banner, sign or any other matter for advertising purposes within the aforesaid parks or park areas, nor attempt to attract attention for advertising purposes by the use of any musical instrument or any sound device within any such area.
E. 
Soliciting. No person shall solicit for any purpose whatsoever.
F. 
Disorderly conduct. No person shall annoy persons or people or do any act tending to create a nuisance and breach of the peace.
G. 
Golf. The play or practice of golf or the driving or hitting of golf balls is prohibited.
H. 
Kites and similar devices. No person shall operate aircraft, kites, balloons or any other air device from or above the surface of any of the aforesaid parks or park areas.
I. 
Bicycle riding, skateboarding and rollerblading. Bicycle riding, skateboarding and rollerblading are prohibited.
J. 
Abusiveness and obscenity. No person shall use threatening, abusive, profane or obscene language or perform any obscene or indecent act.
K. 
Entry and exit. No person shall enter or leave any of the aforesaid parks or park areas or buildings except by the established entranceways or exits.
L. 
Children. Children under seven years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter and remain in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas. Additionally, at Landgraf Park, which is a park for children under the age of 13 years, in order to provide for the children's safety and protection, no person who is not on municipal business or who is not accompanying a child under 13 years of age may be in that park or park area.
M. 
Acts causing injury. No person shall do any act of any nature whatsoever which will cause or contribute to the injury of any person, animal or property within any of the aforesaid parks or park areas.
N. 
Disrobing. No person shall disrobe or assist, aid or abet any person to disrobe within the aforesaid parks or park areas.
O. 
Camping. No person shall tent, camp or erect or maintain a tent shelter in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas.
P. 
Weapons and fireworks. No person shall bring in or have in his possession in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas any firearms, or cutting device, or concealed weapons, or fireworks of any nature whatsoever. The weapon provision shall not apply to law enforcement officials who are on duty.
Q. 
Sales. The sale of any wares, merchandise, food and beverages of any type or nature within the aforesaid parks or park areas and buildings is prohibited except with the written permission of the Board of Trustees.
R. 
Fires. No person shall kindle, build or maintain a fire in any of the aforesaid parks or park areas.
S. 
Animals. No dogs or domesticated animals shall be allowed in the aforesaid parks or park areas except by written approval of the Mayor.
It shall be the duty of the Nassau County Police Department and the designated Code Enforcement Officer to enforce the provisions of this article.
Any person violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine imposed by the court, which shall not be less than $250, nor more than $500, for each conviction of this article.
