As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Permitting pets to defecate on or otherwise
damage public property.
Damaging public property as a result of engaging
in athletic activity, including swinging golf clubs and/or hitting
golf balls on public property.
Engaging in any activity that damages public
property.
Littering on public property.
Allowing pets to use or occupy public property.
Public parks and recreation areas owned by the Township of
Logan.
All proscribed activity engaged in on the public
property of the Township of Logan as hereinabove defined is hereby
prohibited.
A.Â
Persons engaging in proscribed activities or allowing
their domestic pets to engage in proscribed activities shall be deemed
in violation of this article and subject to an action brought in the
Logan Township Municipal Court.
B.Â
Any person found guilty of violating this article
shall be subject to a fine in an amount not to exceed $100 per violation,
which fine will be assessed by the Municipal Court in its discretion,
plus Court costs.
C.Â
Repeat violations. Any person who is convicted of
violating this article within one year of the date of a previous violation
of this article and who was fined for the previous violation, shall
be sentenced to a fine not to exceed $500, plus Court costs, and/or
confiscation of the domestic pet, which pet will be taken to an appropriate
animal shelter and held until such time as all fines due and owing,
as well as all costs of boarding said animal, are paid in full.
