Mannington Township hereby relinquishes its responsibility and that of the Mannington Township Construction Administration (Department) for administration and enforcement of the State Uniform Construction Code to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
The functions and duties of the Mannington Township Construction Administration and its officials and staff and the functions and duties of Mannington Township as a State Uniform Construction Code enforcing agency are hereby repealed and transferred to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
A certified copy of this chapter shall be sent to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and all records and files, or copies of such records and files, from the Mannington Township Construction Administration shall be turned over to the Department of Community Affairs as required by law.
Mannington Township and the Mannington Township Construction Administration shall take all other necessary and required steps to effect this transfer of Construction Code enforcement jurisdiction and duties to the Department of Community Affairs pursuant to the statutes and regulations constituting the Uniform Construction Code.[1]

Upon this chapter taking effect, the Mannington Township Construction Administration is abolished, the employment of its officials, staff and employees is terminated due to abolition of their positions and any contracts with third party agencies for construction code services are terminated.
