Any property owner who has been assessed by the Water Pollution Control Authority and who is eligible for tax relief for elderly taxpayers under the provisions of Sections 12-120b and 12-170a of the Connecticut General Statutes may elect the optional method of payment set forth in § 172-84, provided that the Water Pollution Control Authority approved such optional payment plan.
Eligible property owners may elect to pay only
the annual interest charge on any sewer assessment levied by the Water
Pollution Control Authority; provided, however, that upon any transfer
of title to the property subject to such assessment or upon the death
of such property owner, the outstanding balance of principal deferred
shall become immediately due and payable.
The optional method of payment shall be subject
to annual review by the Water Pollution Control Authority.
