The position of Executive Assistant within the Borough Administrator's Office is hereby created and shall be a full-time position. There shall be a minimum of one Executive Assistant.
The Executive Assistant within the Borough Administrator's Office shall perform the following duties:
A. 
Performs secretarial assignments of complex natures that involve independent judgment for department heads.
B. 
Gathers, collates and classifies information to compile and maintain various reports and complaints.
C. 
Composes correspondence for department heads along with memos and notices.
D. 
Opens, screens and routes incoming mail to designated departments.
E. 
Maintenance of financial/budget records for all departments.
F. 
Answers incoming telephone calls, directs phone calls to appropriate persons, records messages and provides information as required.
G. 
Answers phone and questions from the public, residents, employees, businesses and department heads, which pertain to departmental functions.
H. 
Types reports, forms, memos and all correspondence of a confidential nature for the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator.
I. 
Maintains and initiates all requisitions for the department and other departments when necessary.
J. 
Maintains general files and payroll records for the department.
K. 
Maintains vacation, personnel and compensatory time off records for the department.
L. 
Performs secretarial duties as required by the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator.
M. 
May be assigned to work in any office or department of the Borough as necessary by the Borough Administrator.
N. 
Attends department head meetings as directed by the Borough Administrator.
O. 
Schedules all appointments with the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator and schedules all functions and receptions as per the directions of the Borough Administrator.
P. 
Confirms compliance with the purchasing policy.
Q. 
Assists administrative officials of a department or autonomous government agency by completing administrative transcription and clerical work.
R. 
Drafts resolutions of a simple nature as directed by the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator.
S. 
Troubleshoots under the immediate direction of an administrative official as directed by the Borough Administrator.
T. 
Collects and analyzes data needed as a basis for administrative decisions.
U. 
Supervises directly or indirectly the establishment and maintenance of records and files in the Borough Administrator's Office or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator.
V. 
Directly supervises clerical and related work involving maintaining financial and/or personal records or other supervision as directed by the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator.
W. 
Any and all other duties as directed by the Borough Administrator or other administrative officials as assigned by the Borough Administrator and/or Mayor and Council.
The Executive Assistant within the Borough Administrator's Office shall receive as compensation for services an annual salary, which shall be fixed in accordance with the provisions of the ordinances governing the salaries.
Said Executive Assistant within the Borough Administrator's Office shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council for an indefinite term and may not be removed except for cause as required by law.
