Editor's Note: The provisions of this local law were
approved by a majority of qualified voters participating in a referendum
held 11-3-1964.
In conformity with and pursuant to the authority existing herein
by the enactment of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New
York, effective January 1, 1964, and notwithstanding any rule, law
or ordinance to the contrary, the term of office of the Superintendent
of Highways, hereafter to be elected, be and hereby is designated
as four years instead of its current term of two years, as now provided
for by the pertinent provisions of the Town Law of the State of New
York.
