[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of
the Town of Smithfield 6-25-1962; 6-12-1973 (Sec. 2-4 of the 1985
Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Within the Town, there shall be a division known
as the "Town of Smithfield Defense Civil Preparedness Agency." The
head of this agency shall be known as the "Defense Civil Preparedness
Director" and shall be appointed by the Town Council. The Defense
Civil Preparedness Director shall be responsible for the administration
of all matters pertaining to local defense civil preparedness, subject
to the direction of the Town.
