[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Smithfield 6-8-1937 (Ch. 4, Art. V, Div. 2, of the 1985 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
In accordance with G.L. 1956, § 11-19-32, authorizing and licensing the conduct of the game commonly called "bingo" or any similar game, the Town Council will receive applications to conduct such games from religious, charitable, fraternal, civic, educational, patriotic and other organizations as may appear to qualify under the statues to the satisfaction of the Town Council.[1]

Licenses under this chapter may be issued entirely at the discretion of the Town Council covering several or sundry dates for subsequent use. The Town Council shall classify applications and issue licenses upon the size and scope of the anticipated gatherings, and changes in classification may be made from time to time as deemed necessary.[1]

The fee under this chapter shall be $5 per night.
