[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Smithfield 4-13-1913 (Sec. 13-2 of the 1985 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Public assemblies — See Ch. 133.
Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 312.
No parade or procession shall occupy, or march on, along or across, any street or highway, except the organized militia, independent chartered military organizations, the military and naval forces and air force of the United States, associations wholly composed of soldiers, sailors, marines or airmen honorably discharged from the service of the United States, veterans of the national guard or naval militia, the organizations of the Order of the Sons of Veterans and Masonic organizations, unless written notice of the object, time and route of such procession or parade is given to the Town Sergeant not less than 24 hours previous to its forming or marching. Said Sergeant may in his discretion designate what streets and what portions thereof shall be used by such parade.
