A.
No commercial vehicle and no vehicle with a rated
capacity of greater than one ton and no trailers, buses, and RVs shall
be parked out-of-doors overnight between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and
6:00 a.m. in any district in Ventnor City; provided, however, that
such restriction shall not apply to one commercial motor vehicle of
a rated capacity of one ton or less, owned or used by a residence
of a single-family home to go to and from business, which vehicle
may be parked or garaged overnight on any premises within a residential
zone. In the absence of a garage or driveway, or both, on a given
premises, the owner or inhabitant of the premises may park one commercial
motor vehicle, as described above, on the street in front of the premises.
B.
Parking of charter buses shall be prohibited on any
street, avenue or highway in the City of Ventnor City. Additionally,
charter buses shall be permitted to park on Atlantic Avenue in the
designated charter bus zone on the south side of the 5,500 Block to
load and unload passengers only. Charter buses shall also be permitted
to load and unload passengers on private property where such private
property shall be deemed to be sufficient for the safe operation of
such charter buses. Such private properties which are designated at
this time include Shalom House, Beth Judah, St. James and the Ventnor
Shopping Plaza. Nothing in this subsection shall prohibit the owners
of other properties from obtaining approval for minibuses with seat
capacities of less than 25 persons, provided that there is sufficient
room for such minibuses to park off the street to load and unload.
Any approvals related to this subsection shall be obtained from the
Chief of Police. All buses referenced in this subsection shall have
full authority and compliance with the Atlantic County Transportation
Authority.
Appropriate and suitable signs stating the prohibitions
herein contained shall be posted at all entrances into the City of
Ventnor City.

Any person found guilty of violating any of
the provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine not to exceed
$50 or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.
In addition to or as a substitute for the previously mentioned fine,
the imposition of community service shall be authorized as an additional
penalty, which community service shall not exceed 90 days.
