The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer or
official traffic control device.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park
any motor vehicle in violation of any of the following provisions:
A.
No vehicle shall be parked in any public parking field
in any manner other than as indicated on the surface thereof by appropriate
markings or by posted traffic signs.
B.
The parking of a commercial vehicle or any portion
thereof on any public highway or public roadway or private property
within the Village is prohibited unless the parking is temporarily
done in connection with the bona fide commercial service, sales, or
delivery visit to such property. Parking on a public highway or public
roadway or private property shall include but not be limited to where
a portion of a commercial vehicle is extended on or over a public
highway or public roadway.

C.
No repairs on any vehicle shall be made in any highway
except in case of emergency.
D.
The parking of boats or trailers on any highway within
the Village between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. is hereby prohibited.
E.
All vehicles shall be prohibited from parking, standing or stopping
at any time within an area designated as a "fire zone," "no stopping,"
or "no standing" area or zone, whether on a public road or property
or in a private commercial area, and no vehicle or portion thereof
shall park on any public road within 20 feet of a fire hydrant.

F.
Any vehicle that is parked on a public roadway in the Village of
Lake Grove shall be parked facing or pointed in the same direction
as the lane of traffic of the public roadway that the vehicle is on
or adjacent to. Perpendicular parking is prohibited on any public
roadway, cul-de-sac, or court.
