[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors (now Board of Representatives) of Tompkins County 4-13-1981 by L.L. No. 3-1981. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The County of Tompkins is authorized to lease or sell county real property no longer needed for public use for adequate consideration to a private entity or entities without bidding, provided that the county shall first determine that said property is no longer needed for public use in accordance with § 215 of the County Law.
Notice of the meeting at which the Board will consider the determination that a particular parcel is no longer needed for public use shall be advertised in the official newspapers 10 days in advance of the meeting.

The County of Tompkins is authorized to lease real property no longer needed for public use for a term of up to 99 years.
