[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors (now Board of Representatives)

The County of Tompkins hereby elects to adopt and does hereby adopt, for the purpose of the registration of voters for elections within the County of Tompkins, the system of Permanent Personal Registration set forth in Article 15 of the Election Law.
The first election to be held hereunder shall be the general election of the year 1958, and registration shall be taken preceding such election in the manner provided by Article 15 of the Election Law.
The cost of all the items furnished for such Permanent Personal Registration
and the annual cost of the operation thereof, except as otherwise provided
by law, shall be a charge upon the County of Tompkins.
