In accordance with Chapter NR 811.08(1)(b) of
the Wisconsin Administrative Code, Ledgeview Sanitary District No.
2 mandates all current or future private water systems that are connected
to the municipal distribution system in more than one location and
has a flow-through design are to install check valves, followed by
shut off valves, at each connection to the public water system.
Also, if at any time one of the connections
are severed leaving only one connection and no longer having a flow-through
situation, thus creating a dead end, a flushing device must be installed
and a maintenance agreement is to be filed with the District.
