A. 
Each volunteer fire company, to be recognized as a volunteer fire company within the Township, must comply with the following rules and regulations:
(1) 
The company must be formally recognized as complying with all state and local requirements and be formally organized as an entity with officers and authority given to those officers to act on behalf of the various companies in regards to those matters relating to the Township of Unity.
(2) 
Each company must have a Fire Chief and an Assistant Fire Chief. The Chief of the respective volunteer fire companies shall be a member of the Unity Township Fire Bureau.
(3) 
Each member of each fire company must attend meetings and must obtain sufficient fire-fighting training so as to qualify as a fireman with the respective company to which he belongs.
(4) 
The Fire Chief of each company or the Assistant Fire Chief in those instances where the Fire Chief is not available must attend regular meetings of the Unity Township Fire Bureau. In order to qualify, the fire company through its representative may miss two meetings per year. If the company is unrepresented by the Chief or Assistant Chief at more than two meetings, the company will not be recognized as eligible to receive Township benefits.
(5) 
The Fire Bureau shall meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
(6) 
The companies represented through their Fire Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs shall be responsible for enforcing and complying with the Township ordinance regarding the Fire Bureau and the provisions of the Unity Township Fire Code.[1]

(7) 
All companies must keep records available for personnel training and vehicular maintenance and shall make them available for inspection upon request by the Township Supervisors.
(8) 
It is fully understood that the year for purposes of enforcement of this chapter shall begin on the first day of April of each year and end on the 31st day of March of the following year.
(9) 
The Supervisors further reserve the right to add additional guidelines by way of resolution which shall be binding upon those volunteer fire companies which want to be recognized as a volunteer fire company within the Township of Unity.
(10) 
Each fire company must also agree to supply adequate fire protection to the citizens of the Township of Unity.
B. 
Those fire companies complying with all of the rules and regulations established by this chapter shall be recognized as a volunteer fire company within the Township of Unity and be entitled to receive all of the benefits supplied by the Township of Unity.
