The Code Enforcement Department of the City of Cohoes shall have the sole authority to issue plumbing permits to those applying who are building structures in the City of Cohoes.

Said Department shall set forth the form for application for such permit and the requirements which must be met.

The fees for a plumbing permit shall be the same as for a building permit. A water main tap or connection permit shall be separate and shall be secured if necessary.

Failure to obtain a permit as required by this article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
