All references to the existing Department of
Buildings and Grounds and Department of Traffic Maintenance shall
be and are hereby removed.
There shall be created a new department of the
Borough of Paramus, which new Department shall be known as the "Department
of Building and Traffic Maintenance."
The Department of Building and Traffic Maintenance
shall be comprised of and shall be responsible for the duties and
responsibilities currently performed by the previous Department of
Buildings and Grounds and Department of Traffic Maintenance, it being
the express intention of the within chapter to consolidate the functions
of the previous departments into a single department of the Borough
of Paramus.
The Department of Building and Traffic Maintenance
shall be comprised of two divisions within said Department, to wit,
the Division of Building Maintenance and the Division of Traffic Maintenance.
Borough personnel currently employed within the Department of Buildings
and Grounds shall retain their respective, current duties and responsibilities
within the Division of Building Maintenance. Borough personnel currently
employed within the Department of Traffic Maintenance shall retain
their respective, current duties and responsibilities within the Division
of Traffic Maintenance.
