The Chief shall have the general supervision of the Squad. Said
general supervision by the Chief shall not conflict with the rules
and regulations for the management of the Squad as may from time to
time be adopted by the Board of Rescue Officers herein provided.

A.
In all rescues the Chief or, in his absence, an officer shall have
command.
B.
When the Chief and officers are absent from a rescue, and an ex-chief
is not among the responding personnel, the person having charge of
the rescue apparatus arriving first at the scene shall assume the
duties of the chief officer until the arrival of a Senior Rescue Officer.
