Applications for licenses or permits shall be made as required by the
applicable provisions of this Code of the City of Paterson. If no such requirements
are set forth, applications shall be made in writing, addressed to and filed
with the Council, board or officer authorized by statute, state regulation
or this Code of the City of Paterson to grant or issue the license or permit,
on forms supplied by such authorized issuing authority or officer.
Every application for a license or a permit shall be accompanied by
the license fee or permit fee in the amount prescribed by the applicable provisions
of this Code of the City of Paterson or other ordinances of the city or statutes
unless otherwise provided therein.
Whenever an application for a license or a permit is denied or withdrawn
by the applicant, there shall be refunded to the applicant the amount of the
license or permit fee which accompanied the application, less ten percent
(10%) thereof but not less than one dollar ($1.) or more than ten dollars
($10.), unless otherwise provided by statute, this Code of the City of Paterson
or other ordinances of the city.
Unless otherwise provided by statute or this Code of the City of Paterson
or other ordinances of the city, all licenses shall be effective until the
31st day of December of the year when issued and shall expire on that date
unless sooner suspended or revoked.
