The Board of Trustees of the Pleasantville Urban Enterprise Corporation
will have nine Trustees and two alternates. Seven Trustees and one alternate
will be public Trustees. There will be three Trustees from the City administration,
one of which shall be the Mayor and two of which will be Trustees of Council.
A.Â
Two of the public Trustees will be at-large trustees
residing in the City of Pleasantville. The remaining five public Trustees
shall include one Trustee from each of the following professions: attorney,
realtor, retail merchant, lender/banking official and Trustee of the City
Planning Board.

The five Trustees from the specified professions will
be residents of the City of Pleasantville or practice their profession in
the City of Pleasantville. Trustees of these professions who are retired are
eligible to serve in the position reserved for the profession for which the
Trustee has been retired. The Trustee of the Board who serves in the position
reserved for Planning Board Trustee must maintain his/her position on the
Planning Board, and any resignation or termination from the Planning Board
will be deemed a resignation or termination from the Board of Trustees of
the Pleasantville Urban Enterprise Zone Corporation.

The Mayor shall serve by virtue of his/her office.

The Council Trustee shall be appointed annually by the
President of Council at the annual reorganization meeting of Council.

Two of the Trustees shall be designated as at-large alternates.
One of the alternates shall be a second Trustee of City Council and shall
be appointed annually by the President of Council at the annual reorganization
meeting of Council. The second at-large alternate shall be either a resident
of the City of Pleasantville or shall be an owner or operator of a business
located in the City of Pleasantville.
Each public Trustee shall be appointed for a term of three years, except
for the initial appointment which shall follow the effective date of this
article. Initial appointments shall be made so as to provide for staggered
expiration dates. Specifically, the initial appointment of the lender/banking
professional and one at-large resident shall expire December 31, 1995. The
initial appointment of the retail merchant and one at-large resident shall
expire December 31, 1996. The initial appointment of the attorney, realtor
and City Planning Board Trustee shall expire December 31, 1997.
Appointments of the public Trustees and alternates shall be made at
the annual reorganization meeting of the City Council by a majority vote of
Council. Any vacancy of public Trustee or alternate may be filled by a majority
vote of City Council at any regularly scheduled meeting of City Council.
