All collections under this article shall be
in accordance with the program established as follows:
A.
All trash collection shall be once a week and will
include all nonrecyclable household trash from residential and multifamily
dwellings.
B.
All trash to be collected shall be placed at the curbline
(in proper receptacles) no earlier than 7:00 p.m. on the day before
the day of collection and no later than 7:00 a.m. on the date of collection.
Any trash not collected or placed at curbside after the time for collection
shall be immediately removed from the curbside. Any failure to remove
shall be considered a violation of this article. Empty trash receptacles
shall be removed from the curbside not later than noon on the day
following the collection.

C.
Collections on any particular day of collection shall
be limited to the maximum of four cans of trash per unit.
D.
The City shall provide for the pickup of large nonmetal
items, such as furniture, rugs, mattresses, television sets and tires,
on the day of regular pickups. Each pickup is limited to no more than
two items.

E.
Any contractor/owner performing work on any property
owner must remove any/all waste material left as a result of the work.
F.
Any owner of a single-family dwelling or building which is unoccupied,
empty or sold will be responsible for the removal of all household
trash and any/all material left at said property. No trash, recycling,
yard waste, e-waste or any other material will be collected by the
Atlantic County Utilities Authority and/or Public Works Department.

G.
Any item(s) placed at the curb for disposal, removal
or collection shall be placed in such a manner as to not block the
sidewalks or pedestrian walkways.
H.
Metal will be picked up by the Department of Public
Works each Tuesday from north side of Washington Avenue to Nevada
Avenue and each Wednesday from south side of Washington Avenue to
Ridgewood Avenue. It must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the
morning of collection.

I.
Trash receptacles shall not be stored in plain sight
when viewed from the curbline. Such receptacles shall not be stored
between the building and the curbline, and further, when stored on
the side of the building, shall be placed behind a solid fence.

A.
The City shall not be responsible for the collection,
removal and disposal of garbage and trash from apartments, townhouses,
condominiums, high-rise buildings, hotels and motels.
B.
Commercial pickup shall be only of light office trash;
no big items or debris and not to exceed two appropriate receptacles.
