A.Â
All auto repair shops, auto body and paint shops and
service stations located in any commercial or industrial zone must store all
customer vehicles, business-related vehicles and vehicles for sale inside
their place of business or in a fenced or buffered area in the rear of the
property after normal daytime business hours.
B.Â
All businesses in existence at the time of passage of
this article shall be given six months to comply with this section.
During daytime business hours, all vehicles (customer and business-related)
must be parked on the premises in designated (painted) parking areas.
No inoperable or unregistered vehicles using any off-street parking
space on private property shall extend into the public sidewalk.
Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions
of this article shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not less than
$100 nor more than $1,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days and/or
a period of community service not exceeding 90 days. Each day such violation
is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense
and shall be punishable as such.
