[HISTORY: Adopted by the Clarkson Town Board 4-13-1976 by L.L. No. 1-1976. Sections 21-3 and 21-4 amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I). Other amendments noted where applicable.]
The Town Board finds that the cost for publication in the official newspaper pursuant to the Town Law has increased over the years to the point where the cost is prohibitive. Therefore, the Town Board desires to enact legislation which will permit the publication of proposed ordinances or local laws and adopted ordinances by publishing merely a synopsis of the proposed ordinances or local laws and adopted ordinances.
It shall hereafter be lawful for the Town Clerk of the Town of Clarkson to publish a synopsis of any proposed ordinance or local law in the official Town newspaper in lieu of the entire text of said proposed ordinance or local law.
No such ordinance shall be adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Clarkson until a public hearing shall be held thereon in its final form pursuant to the requirements of the Town Law after due public notice. Such public notice shall contain the title of the proposed ordinance and a brief explanatory statement thereof.

Such notice shall be given by the Town Clerk by causing the same to be published once in the official newspaper in the Town. Such notice shall contain the title of the proposed local law and a brief explanatory statement thereof.
