A person is guilty of a violation of the peace and good order when,
with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly
creating a risk thereof:
A.
He/she engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous
or threatening behavior.
B.
He/she makes unreasonable noise.
C.
In a public place, he/she uses abusive or obscene language
or makes an obscene gesture.
D.
Without lawful authority, he/she disturbs any lawful
assembly or meeting of persons.
E.
He/she obstructs vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
F.
He/she congregates with other persons in a public place
and refuses to comply with a lawful order of the police to disperse.
G.
He/she creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition
by any act which serves no legitimate purpose.
H.
He/she engages in the practice of skydiving, parachuting,
soaring or a similarly related activity if as a result of said activity the
said person is, with the aid or assistance of any parachute, kite or similar
contrivance or a device attached to the body of said person, transported from
either an airplane to a point on the ground or from one point on the ground
to another point on the ground.
I.
He/she operates, flies or causes to be operated or flown
a helicopter or other aircraft from any place or site situate within the boundaries
of the Incorporated Village of Northport or lands or causes to be landed any
helicopter and/or other aircraft on any place or site situate within the Incorporated
Village of Northport, except during an emergency as declared by the Mayor,
Police Department or Fire Department.
Disturbance of the peace and good order is a violation, and any violation
of this section shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment
which is not in excess of 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
