The City Engineer is hereby directed to define the limits of and designate the portion of land as heretofore adopted by ordinance, as amended, to be used as a municipal golf course, governed by the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation under the direction of the Mayor.
Except as the Council may provide for City high school varsity teams, no free passes for the use of the golf course or its other activities shall be issued to any person.

A. 
Fees for the use of the municipal golf course shall be set from time to time by resolution.
B. 
Juniors golfers are classified as those persons under the age of 19.
C. 
High school varsity teams may be issued a special permit by directive of the Mayor.
D. 
Tournaments are classified as those events involving 20 or more golfers. Tournaments may be booked after the first day of the calendar year in which the event is to take place. A deposit of $100 is required for all tournaments. This deposit shall be forfeited if cancellation is made within 10 days of the scheduled tournament date. The tournament rate shall supersede all aforementioned greens fees.
E. 
Student golfers are classified as those persons enrolled at Schenectady County Community College or Union College and who can present official ID attesting to such to the golf course staff.
F. 
Senior golfers are classified as those persons at or above the age of 60.
G. 
Veteran golfers are defined as those persons who are active or retired from the armed forces.
H. 
The weekend is defined as Friday, Saturday, Sunday and all holidays (exclusive of league play).

There is to be no discrimination against individual or group play at any time. All persons are to have an equal opportunity to a starting time.

To qualify for resident fee status, a person must have his/her domicile in the City of Schenectady. Nonresident taxpayers must have eligibility for resident status validated by the City Assessor and present such validation when requested.[1]

Editor's Note: Former Secs. 19-94 through 19-97 of Ch. 19 of the former Revised Ordinances, adopted 2-9-1970 by Ord. No. 15274, relating to golf club seasonal membership entitlements and the nontransferability of such seasonal cards, and providing for the authority for their issuance, were repealed 6-2-1986 by L.L. No. 3-1986.

The Mayor or his or her designee is authorized to promulgate such rules and regulations as he or she deems necessary to make effective the terms of this chapter and to assure the proper operation and control of the municipal golf course and its facilities.
