The Rent Board Administrator is hereby appointed as the Administrator of the City of Passaic for the purposes of carrying out the municipal functions of the Senior Protected Tenancy Act.[1]

Every owner/converter shall file a fee of $50 per unit to be converted, to be paid upon the submission by the owner/converter of the tenancies to be converted. The owner/converter shall also supply the Rent Board Administrator with a list of every tenant residing in the premises with stamped envelopes addressed to each tenant with sufficient copies of the notice to the tenants and application form for protected tenancy status. If the City of Passaic has any additional out-of-pocket expenses with regard to the application for the conversion of the building and protected tenancy duties of the Rent Board Administrator, then those costs shall be paid by the owner/converter upon notice to the owner/converter and proof of the expenses of the City of Passaic.
Any appeal from a decision of the Administrator shall be brought to the Rent Leveling Board upon the filing of a fee of $25.
