The provisions of this article shall apply, except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all Town and county roads within the Town of Cheektowaga, exclusive of the Villages of Sloan and Depew, between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 1 to April 1 of each ensuing year, except that there shall be one-side parking overnight from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. opposite the hydrant side, the entire length of the streets listed in Schedule XIII, § 235-52, attached to and made part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle upon the north or east sides from 5:00 p.m. Monday to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, nor upon the south or west sides from 5:00 p.m. Thursday to 5:00 p.m. Monday, on any of the streets or parts of streets listed in Schedule XA, § 235-49.1, attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X, § 235-49, attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI, § 235-50, attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII, § 235-51, attached to and made part of this chapter.

Parking is hereby prohibited on all Town highways and county roads in the Town of Cheektowaga for a period in excess of 24 consecutive hours.

A. 
In addition to the restrictions provided for in §§ 235-33 through 235-37, no vehicle longer than 225 inches, inclusive of load and bumper, or wider than 80 inches, as measured by the body, or higher than 81 inches, as measured from the underside of the tire to the top of the vehicle, shall park upon any street within any residential district in the Town of Cheektowaga.
B. 
The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) 
Vehicles parked because of an emergency or at a police officer's direction.
(2) 
Vehicles of the Town of Cheektowaga, fire apparatus, ambulances or vehicles engaged in the work of a public utility.
(3) 
Vehicles engaged in making pickups or deliveries or rendering services in or upon any property adjacent to the street where said vehicles are parked.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XVI, § 235-55, of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of the streets described in said Schedule XVI, attached to and made part of this chapter.
