[Adopted 1-13-1969 as Ch. 50, Art. I, of the 1969 Code]
The Borough of Oakmont hereby establishes a park and does dedicate the hereinafter described premises for that purpose: All that certain tract or parcel of ground situate in the Borough of Oakmont, formerly Plum Township, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point common to Lot Nos. 75, 76, 87 and 88 in the Plan of Lots laid out for William and S.M. Bauersmith and recorded in the Recorder's Office in and for said county in Plan Book Volume 21, at Page 17; thence south zero degrees (0°) fifty-four minutes (54) west with the western line of Lot Nos. 82 to 87, both inclusive in said plan, and with an extension of said line a distance of one thousand nine hundred fifty-one and twenty-five hundredths (1,951.25) feet to a point; thence south forty-nine degrees (49°) thirty minutes (30) east one hundred twenty-seven and eighty-four hundredths (127.84) feet to a point; thence north thirty-eight degrees (38°) fifty-three minutes (53) east five hundred ten and twenty-five hundredths (510.25) feet to a point; thence north thirty-one degrees (31°) east two hundred fifty (250) feet to a point; thence north thirty-two degrees (32°) forty minutes (40) west three hundred (300) feet to a point; thence north twenty-four degrees (24°) nine degrees (9°) east four hundred two and thirty-eight hundredths (402.38) feet to a point; thence with the easterly line of Lots 99 to 102, both inclusive in said Plan, north five degrees (5°) thirty-nine minutes (39) east, three hundred five (305) feet to a point; thence north six degrees (6°) fifty-nine degrees (59°) east two hundred twenty-one and seventy-three hundredths (221.73) feet to a point; thence north forty-two degrees (42°) twenty-four minutes (24) east two hundred twenty-two (222) feet to a point; thence north fifteen degrees (15°) thirty-six minutes (36) west one hundred eighty-two and fifty-two hundredths (182.52) feet to a point; thence with the northerly line of Lots 87 and 99, north eighty-nine degrees (89°) six minutes (6) west, six hundred thirty-five and fourteen hundredths (635.14) feet to the place of beginning.

The borough, through its Mayor and Town Council, doth hereby select the entire premises as described in § 141-1 hereof for a borough playground, recreation place and for general municipal park purposes and for preservation of a forest or woodland in its natural state, insofar as reasonably possible and practical, said park or recreation center to be hereafter known as "Dark Hollow Woods — The Karl E. Satler Memorial Park and Nature Reserve."
The Borough of Oakmont shall enter upon and take possession and occupancy of said land as described in § 141-1 hereof, for the purposes aforesaid, as provided by the Borough Code as consolidated and amended by the Act of July 10, 1947, P.L. 1627, more particularly Article XXVI.[1]

The use of the park shall be limited to such reasonable rules and regulations as the Mayor or the Town Council of the Borough of Oakmont may hereafter, from time to time, adopt and enact according to law.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby repealed insofar as they conflict with the provisions of this article, but this article shall not be construed to or in any way affect or invalidate any rights of the Borough of Oakmont as acquired under and by virtue of said deed from Maria B. Satler to the Borough of Oakmont, as of record in the Recorder's Office of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in Deed Book Volume 3408, Page 543, or said Sheriff's deed.
