A. 
There is hereby created the Sewer Authority of the Town of Guilford, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 103 of the General Statutes of Connecticut,[1] consisting of six members to serve without compensation for staggered terms of four years.

B. 
The Sewer Authority shall be an appointive board, as defined in Chapter 4 of the Charter of the Town of Guilford, and its members shall be appointed and removed in accordance with said Charter.
C. 
The Sewer Authority of the Town of Guilford shall have all of the powers and duties specified in Chapter 103 of the General Statutes aforesaid.

A. 
The Sewer Authority of the Town of Guilford is hereby designated and shall hereafter be known as the "Water Pollution Control Authority of the Town of Guilford" and shall have all of the powers and duties of a Water Pollution Control Authority as specified in the Connecticut General Statutes.
B. 
The members of said Authority and the method and terms of their appointment shall not be affected by this section, and any reference made to the Sewer Authority in the budget or other town documents, publications or correspondence shall be deemed to refer to the Water Pollution Control Authority.
