[Adopted 12-17-1984]
This article is adopted for the purpose of establishing or affirming
the duration of the term of office of each person appointed to any of the
boards, commissions, committees and individual offices hereinafter listed
and providing for a common commencement and expiration date in each calendar
year for any such term beginning or expiring in such year.
The present term of office of each person occupying one of the positions
listed below in the left-hand column which has a scheduled expiration date
shall be, and it hereby is, extended until 12:00 noon on the second Monday
of January next succeeding the date on which such term would otherwise expire,
except that there shall be no such extension in the term of office of members
of the Shellfish Commission. Any indefinite term for which an appointment
to any position so listed shall have been made shall expire at the foregoing

the second Monday of January immediately following the expiration of the preceding
term of office for such position and shall run and continue for the period
of years set forth below in the right-hand column opposite the designation
of such position, plus or minus the number of days necessary in order that
such term, if it would otherwise expire at a different time, will expire at
12:00 noon on the second Monday of January of the calendar year in which said
period of years will terminate.
