The Town of Old Lyme, being within the Connecticut River Estuary Planning Region, hereby adopts the provisions of C.G.S. §§ 8-31a to 8-37a, inclusive, and elects to participate in the Connecticut River Estuary Regional Planning Agency (CRERPA), now or henceforth existing, under Chapter 127 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
The Town of Old Lyme, having a population of 3,068 according to the federal census of 1960, shall have two representatives, one to be appointed by the Old Lyme Planning Commission, the other to be appointed by the Town Meeting. Both appointees shall serve for terms of two years and until their successors shall have been appointed. Terms of office shall commence when the appointments are made or from the first organization meeting of the agency, whichever is later.
If a representative should resign, or die, or be unable to serve, or if he is removed from membership, the body which appointed that member shall fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.
