There is hereby established in the Town of Rocky Hill a Redevelopment
Agency to be known as the "Rocky Hill Redevelopment Agency," which Agency
shall consist of seven members who are electors residing in the Town of Rocky
Hill.
The members of the Redevelopment Agency shall be appointed by the Board
of Selectmen with approval of the legislative body. The members first appointed
shall be designated to serve for the following terms: two members for the
term of one year, two members for the term of two years, one member for the
term of three years, one member for the term of four years and one member
for the term of five years. Thereafter, members shall be appointed annually
to serve for five-year terms, except that any vacancy shall be filled by appointment
by the Board of Selectmen for the unexpired term, with approval of the legislative
body.
Action by said Agency shall be taken only on the majority of the vote
of all the members.
The Agency shall select among its members a Chairman and such other
officers as it deems necessary and may employ a secretary and such other officers,
agents, technical consultants, legal counsel and employees as are required
for the Agency to carry on its duties under the law. Members shall serve without
compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses.
